Escape from wrath

I was there but I escaped
The gates of hell, the demonic shapes
The pit is dark and cold and deep
There is no peace, there is no sleep
The master’s hammer, the bell is rung
The slaves all gather; the web is spun
The cock is slain, the deed is done
They`re all in tears nowhere to run
The demons gather for the feast
They celebrate with gnashing teeth
They wait to move in on the prey
The beast will come at night to stay
The chained are cold and steel rips flesh
There is no warmth in hell`s dark depths
Creatures stalk with fiery glare
Their glowing eyes in darkness stare
No end in sight to all this pain
The beast is King, all hope in vain
A virgin on a marble slab
The demon raised his knife to stab
Those without become insane
Those within can feel no shame
The beast will never let you go
His mighty reign of pain he`ll show
The torture goes on night and day
Countless numbers demons slay
Worm invested rotting flesh
A drop of blood, a faith will test
I woke to find my bed a wreck
Sweat and tears rolled down my neck
My heart raced wild, my fear was real
A nightmare tale my peace did steal
At once I saw it was a dream
My mouth was open as if to scream
My life was once in hells cold grasp
Forever would my torture last
The Lord had mercy from on high
From demons past, from Satan`s lie
For he loved me so and had a plan
From a tortured son; a brand new man

I love writing about the raw, down-to-Earth, heartfelt realities of life. I love to write in a way that reaches into the human soul—to take the greatest pains and struggles in life, and make them a blessing to others. Fantasy is a wonderful, interesting thing—but real-life situations, feelings, fears, and dreams are an unexplored ocean of stories that need to be told." ~ ~Scott Biddulph~
