“So avoid using the word ‘very’ because it’s lazy. A man is not very tired; he is exhausted. Don’t use very sad, use morose. Language was invented for one reason, boys – to woo women – and, in that endeavor, laziness will not do. It also won’t do in your essays.” ― N.H. Kleinbaum, Dead Poets Society
Writers don’t give flowers, chocolates, or box seats for a championship game. You know that if we could, we would. All we have are words to woo our readers and potential guest writers.
Extending an Invitation
Although we can’t send those tasty treats, we can extend an invitation to join us.
Two Drops of Ink is taking submissions. We want to extend our reach, resources and hopefully, responses. So, woo us with your words and submit your article on writing, a poem, personal essay, or that short story.
Who knows, that missing piece may just be you.
