Poetry Break: ‘Tree’

By Rev-Kev/ Dr. Kevin T. Coughlin, Ph.D.

Tree

A tree in spring looks vibrant and alive,

much like the young climbers of summer.

In the fall majesty and beauty

temp the eye for a moment;

deep tans start to fade,

picnicking under falling leaves.

Winter’s chill on brittle branches

and bones,

a legacy of constant change;

memories rooted in seasons past.

I love writing about the raw, down-to-Earth, heartfelt realities of life. I love to write in a way that reaches into the human soul—to take the greatest pains and struggles in life, and make them a blessing to others. Fantasy is a wonderful, interesting thing—but real-life situations, feelings, fears, and dreams are an unexplored ocean of stories that need to be told." ~ ~Scott Biddulph~
