Sunday Spotlight: Jayne Bodell

It’s Sunday and time for Sunday Spotlight. Each Sunday we will spotlight a published contributor from our list. The idea is to reintroduce these wonderful and talented writers/authors to our audience, especially new followers that may not have noticed their writings here on the site, and to give them a boost in exposure.

Jayne has been a favorite at our site. She’s also been a huge supporter of our efforts to express and teach the value of collaboration between writers. Her writing here has ranged from the subjects of writing advice to satire. Her credentials as a writer are impressive, and her writing is crisp, concise, and possesses all of the attributes of good writing; her writing flows, it is analogous, displays good use of metaphors, and causes her readers to think.

We hope that you’ll check her out, click the links in her bio, and become a new fan and follower of hers.

Bio:

Jayne Bodell graduated from UW-Madison with an English degree many, many years ago. About two years ago, she renewed her interest in writing by starting a blog about grammar but soon realized that she wanted to expand her subject matter. She now blogs about keeping life simple, smart, and sassy at www.JayneBodell.com. In between blog posts, she’s planning to branch into the scary world of writing fiction by writing a collection of flash fiction stories.
Jayne lives in Wisconsin and fills her spare time with gardening, photography, knitting, reading, and a side of coloring. Her favorite way to vacation is to pick a general destination and drive, no time constraints and no plans.

TWO DROPS OF INK: THE LITERARY HOME FOR COLLABORATIVE WRITING

Past Sunday Spotlight posts

At Two Drops of Ink, we proudly collaborate with other writers. Most bloggers work hard to brand themselves and push their own sites, and that’s fine; however, here at Two Drops of Ink, we have created a unique and powerful epicenter for collaborative writing. Along with our writing team and the blogs we post, we accept submissions of all genres (see our submissions guidelines). This is a huge win-win for our literary blog and for writers that are either well established and are looking to expand their audience, or relatively new writers looking for exposure. We dedicate this page to those writers, and their works, that were good enough to publish on our blog. Congrats to them. Please take a moment to scroll down through the list and enjoy and share their writing.

As a freelance editor, he has done the layout and design of several books and magazines. He is currently working with several authors on various publication projects in which he is either ghostwriting, editing manuscripts, or doing the layout and design of their books. ******** Finally, and most importantly, he is a father, grandfather, husband, and dedicated Harley Davidson rider. He and his family enjoy the beauty of the North Georgia Mountains where they live—especially their screened in back porch where they love to bird watch. ******** ~ "I love realism. I love writing about the raw, down-to-Earth, heartfelt realities of life. I love to write in a way that reaches into the human soul—to take the greatest pains and struggles in life, and make them a blessing to others. Fantasy is a wonderful, interesting thing—but real-life situations, feelings, fears, and dreams are an unexplored ocean of stories that need to be told." ~ ~Scott Biddulph~
