With me poetry has not been a purpose, but a passion.

Elusive
Portal of time, please open wide for me.
Ten thousand years I need, to uncover
secrets of life and what makes it precious.
We just careen down the road at breakneck speed,
never hearing over noise.
There’s so little sense, so many things, vague,
such conflicting, informational offerings.
Throw wide that door that hides meaning from us.

Friends
We sit here face-to-face
assembling Lego pieces
of a fairytale broken world,
as we talk about
the real one we live in,
more broken
than what we now build.
We’ll need more time
for our own.

Lovely, Linda. Wish I could do that.
I have four kids…so the lego pieces was a vivid image for me, and so very true of our broken world. Thank you for sharing your heart.
I liked your whispering dear Linda.
Great poems- well written.
