Ocelot Stalking
I am in search of the striped tail.
Months spent in small Texas towns
and Mexican cantinas yield zilch.
Your spotted pelt –
so beautiful – so rare.
I know your nocturnal habits.
Still, you are solitary
and although you are wickedly wild;
your yowl is circumspect.
Now autumn is fading.
The season stirs primal instincts
so, I continue to move in the shadows.
With All The Attachments
The washable no-stain smile
changes exactly with the power
of the immediate vacuum
and style of the crush-proof carpet nap.
The suction tongue always cites
the proper voltage electricity
and adjusts quietly to floor levels.
Both voters and bosses alike know
this one comes with all the attachments.
Consulting My Wraith
You are so much more
than electric alter-ego.
The flash frame fusion
between total cloud loss
and solar solstice sympathy
haunts with glimpse and gravity.
You offer only secluded signs
that tempt, tease and taunt
multiple DNA directions.
I am in the garden now
with radiant sunlight beams
warming and burning in me.
You appear on my right side
and I crave ultraviolet comfort.

The one with the attachments makes me think about when my cat gets aggravated by the vacuum. She’s so much happier in our new home without any carpet. Lol. Enjoyed your poetry.
